Free Parenting Education Program begins January 2017
A free six-week program will be offered for parents of children with behavioral issues, ADHD, etc. Please click on Upcoming Basics classes – Nami for more information on this program, which offers two session options: Tuesdays from January 10-February 14 (6-8:30pm) OR Thursdays from January 12-February 16 (10am-12:30pm).
Free Parenting Skills Workshop for Single Parents
The Single Parent Resource Center is offering a 6-week Parenting Skills Series that utilizes an evidenced-based curriculum to teach practical parenting skills.
- Parenting styles and child development
- Cooperation and communication
- Effective, non-violent discipline
- Building courage and self-esteem
- Understanding and redirecting misbehavior
- Active parenting for school success

Free Parenting Workshops at NYU–October-December 2016
NYU Child Study Center is offering free, hour-long parenting workshops this fall. All sessions are free but registration is required.
Workshops include such topics as:
