“Australia and Its Aboriginal People”: A Free PS3 Family Talk and Slideshow

Save the date for a family-friendly presentation about the Aboriginal people of Australia, given by visiting professor Jon Altman (aka 5th grader Oskar’s dad). Jon is an anthropologist who works with Aboriginal people living in the most remote (and most beautiful) part of north Australia. In July, Jon and Oskar visited a ranger station in an Indigenous Protected Area called Warddeken, renowned for its rock art of global significance. Oskar and Jon will talk about the environmental and cultural management of this region by the Aboriginal people and about the lifestyle of hunter-gatherers today. This is a special opportunity to learn about a fascinating region of the world.

Tuesday, October 24, at 6:15 p.m. in the Auditorium.
